Child Care Food Program
Santa Barbara Family Care Center sponsors the Child Care Food Program for family child care home providers. The goal of the program is to ensure that children receive nutritious meals and snacks that meet the minimum daily requirements of a balance diet. Through the program, we can reimburse you for food expenses. We also offer nutrition education workshops and resources. We can assist you in planning your menus and setting up the required record keeping.
The Child Care Food Program reimburses for a maximum of 2 main meals and 1 snack, or two snacks and 1 main meal, per child each day.
How to enroll:
After you have received a Family Child Care Home License and have begun to care for children, just call our office at 805.349.8018 to set up an appointment to enroll you in the Child Care Food Program. Participating in the Child care Food Program is a good business decision. It can lower your expenses, thus increasing your profits!
